A subfloor area is damp, dark and if it has no airflow is perfect for mould and bacteria. As air moves through its cycles, the dirty air under the subfloor rises into your home. Along comes the mould spores, dampness and bacteria. Our subfloor ventilation systems are very important for maintaining good air quality, both under and inside the building.
The airflow being created then promotes drying. We design our systems on a case by case situation but the aim is to achieve cross-ventilation through every part of the subfloor area.
This process creates negative air pressure which ensures that the dirty, damp air under your home does not rise into your living area. The air vents on the sides of your house are where the fresh air will come from and create the cross-flow which is required to achieve adequate ventilation.
